Overview

The following map art style was produced based on research conducted as well as map progression design consultations conducted during Sprint 3 (see Initial Map Progression). Preliminary Map Area level themes are presented alongside respective colour palettes and overall art aesthetic.

Dungeon

Characteristics: Dark indoor room, rough wooden paths, sun shining through, barrels/crates/pillars as obstacles, lighter stone walls and floor.
Boss: Elf Mage

Characteristics: Dark and gritty, lit by torchlight, rough stone paths, spooky atmosphere, barrels/crates/pillars as obstacles, darker cobblestone floor and walls, fiery, hot lava, bright red, scary, dark stone island blazing with flames.
Boss: Loki

Characteristics: Outdoor vegetation, courtyard atmosphere, grassy and stone paths, wooden items, different outdoor textures.

Characteristics: Dark, lit by torchlight, stone floors and walls, random items including tools, furs and trophies lying around, some colour variation in flooring and walls, royal atmosphere.
