Overview

The following map art style was produced based on research conducted as well as initial map progression design consultations (see Initial Map Progression). Map Area themes are presented alongside respective colour palettes and overall art aesthetic.

Map Areas

Underground Basement

Characteristics: Dark indoor room, rough wooden paths, sun shining through, barrels/crates/pillars as obstacles, lighter stone walls and floor.

Dungeon Room

Characteristics: Dark and gritty, lit by torchlight, rough stone paths, spooky atmosphere, barrels/crates/pillars as obstacles, darker cobblestone floor and walls.

Characteristics: Dark, lit by torchlight, stone floors and walls, random items including tools, furs and trophies lying around, some colour variation in flooring and walls, royal atmosphere.

Characteristics: Fiery, hot lava, bright red, scary, dark stone island blazing with flames.
