Interest Groups
- Preservation Interest Group (Donald/Nick)
- Not much news. Notes are up for last meeting. Breaking out into two working groups.
- Donald has put up a backup discussion document looking at backing up Fedora objects
- Nick shared York's backup plan
- Background Services Discussion working group is coming together. Looking for more members.
- Archival interest group (Nick)
- Sarah will schedule a meeting soon
- Documentation interest group (Kirsta)
- Fedora 4 Interest Group (David):
- May have moved beyond being an interest group.
- Prospectus and Project Plan are in development.
- Funding plan in place. Looking for supporters to develop Islandora /Fedora 4 Prototype.
- Will hire technical lead on contract. Project lead is likely to be Nick.
- production release of Fedora 4.0 coming soon!

- Islandora Chef - License discussion
- Our LSAP says everything goes under GPLv3; chef recipe is under Apache 2. Is that ok?
- Rational is that this is more of a "meta-tool", not a module like other contributions.
- Some code in it is Apache 2, so may not be able to change it.
- May need to update LSAP to allow for non-Drupal modules to have open-source licences in general. (Melissa to create proposed new LSAP)

- Changes to IF Board membership
- Priscilla Caplan has left the board. Peter Murray has taken her place.
- Welcome to new LYRASIS rep Chad Nelson.
- From IDIG - Should IF gets its own Confluence from Atlassian?
- Open to the possibility, but more information is needed before we can discuss the pros and cons. Is OnDemand available for free, or just a free licence?
- Roundtable
- Kirsta - USTC is hiring a new developer to work with Islandora
- Melissa - IF will soon be issuing Open Badges that are hosted through Fedora. Credit to Jeremy Nelson for the app that makes this possible.
- Nick - Doing a lot of work to clean up the chef install script; adding Drush stuff to help with installing libraries
- Donald - UPEI is working on next version of CAIRN (shared repo in Atlantic provinces). Has several new deployment docs to publish soon
