No changes to notes from last meeting. Arran will continue to email out updates post meeting to members so those who were not present can see what happened.
Arran and Danny have set the date for the next Open Meeting (March 30, 2021) and are looking to the community for presentations/demos for content during the session

- Spreadsheet for acting Islandora metadata defaults
- Set sprint set up established during this one where people seem to be working in smaller open-meeting style discussions

- Working on some kinds of conceptual documentation
- Jeff moved off list of co-convenors - Add David
- Are meeting later today to finalize more details

Islandora 8 updates (Danny):
- MIG Sprint on-going
- Convo with LYRASIS and BornDigital about contributing back profile work they have done
- Install profile being shared (only for new installs)
- Utilities Don is working on checks to ensure configuration is done and automate process
- Would like to start new sprint following MIG Sprint to look at this
- Would like to spin up with this set up
- Very Drupal based to make it easier to use
- Would like to get this out in a potential Beta?
- Move to community testing
- Will be no number associated with the release (Islandora v2.)
- Islandora Open Meeting

- Now reaching out to community to try and encourage people to present topics at the meeting
- Are there any plans for larger meetings/events planned like IslandoraCon?
- Arran only temporarily here, so likely it would be something a FT person would take on
- Looking like it wouldn’t be anything in-person until approx a year from now

How do sprints come about? (Bethany)
- Danny typically sets them up or is involved in some way
- Want to let community members take part in contributions toward the software
- Hence the MIG Sprint
- Danny willing to act in support role if community members would like to undertake their own

David W - Pilot project - BornDigital working on wrapping up install profile before passing it on to Islandora
- Want to start more user facing testing on site (maybe next week)
- Use workbench tool (Mark Jordan) to do migration
- Continued work on documentation
- Recorded presentation with Paige for Code4Lib
- User Group meetings - EU next week and NA following that in April
- Fedora workshop next week
- Will record it and make it available for viewing
- Fedora 6 in Beta currently and looking for community testing
- Official released aimed at mid-year

- Wondering how many people are coming from other places to Islandora?
- Danny: in last survey asked that question to users
- Will find out and share it - 18% are coming from non-Islandora sites
- Bulk of community on Islandora 7, small portion at 8 but counts aren’t entirely accurate because some were double counts
