New release planning - when and how to do 7.x-1.3
- Aiming for April for the release candidate.
- Reach out to the community for volunteers for release management.
- dgi to identify release management requirements.
- Maybe offer perks to people who contribute time?
- Kirsta and Nick to draft a document with release requirements for a call for volunteers.
-
Issue with no account on Duraspace (for wiki and JIRA)
- Duraspace does not allow new users accounts to be created on the wiki.
- Migrate the docs to GitHub? Hydra did this last year.
- Can we have separate docs for each release? Can we generate a print version?
- Documentation could live with individual modules.
- Use GitHub for issue queues as well. Easier to report bugs.
- Would be good to keep a consolidated version of the docs along with docs for individual repos.
- Maybe use Read the Docs as a doc generation service.
-
- Created by Nick Ruest, Donald Moses, and Mark Jordan.
- Produces a PREMIS datastream for each object in a repository. Generated on the fly.
- Creating digital preservation docs for Islandora.
- Part of a suite of tools including Checksum and BagIt.
- Should the preservation docs live in the main Islandora repo? Shows we are thinking about preservation.
- Docs would be created as Drupal nodes in an Islandora installation. Maybe use Features?
- York University docs
- Ask for feedback on the list.
