- Allison L., Jay D., Eileen K.
- Jay has been a long-time participant in our project, and is now in our Slack Channel (Data Generation Toolkit) as of today!
- Workshops, trainings. Separate from Sprint participation.
- Attention to different levels of users, esp. beginner
- Revisit what the “onboarding journey” for a Snowfakery user would look like (different from onboarding for new DataGen project team members)
-
- Recipe runners “I want to run a recipe that already exists...”
-
- Recipe writers “I want to write a recipe from scratch or adapt an existing recipe…”
- Allison noted that our Github Pages do not have the ease of navigation as the OSC commons Pages. See the left-hand navigation pane at https://sfdo-community-sprints.github.io/
- We can edit our pages to add a simple meta-data header, following their example, that will handle the navigation
- Jay asked, how does one refresh one’s own recipe repo, while maintaining new recipes you want to keep? Allison said, we should not need to write directions for this, as it is a Github-wide question, and we can find a resource to point people to this answer.
- So far the best instructions for how to create a scratch org for these environments is maintained by Aaron at https://spinningcode.org/2023/11/salesforce-nonprofit-and-education-scratch-orgs/
- Allison encourages us to create an issue of any problems encountered while creating one of the new cloud scratch orgs
- Note that each NPC trial org comes with fake data, not very much, maybe not most useful
- Next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, June 5, at 2PM Eastern / 11AM Pacific. A reminder will be posted in the Slack channel.
