Project Meeting September 2020
- Greetings and check in
- Sprint Planning
There are 6-8 Sprint registrants so far who are signed up to work on our project We are ready to start drafting documentation. Sam offered to check in with Sam Knox about how to initially structure those materials.
Discussed if we could use the process of extracting data from a Trailhead Playground and move it to a Scratch org.
- How difficult is it to attach CCI from a sandbox in your real org?
- How to seed a persistent sandbox with data from another persistent sandbox
- NPSP trial org - can we use that dataset?
- Concern with teaching people how to pull data from production
- Resolution: make risk of pulling data from Prod VERY CLEAR
Documentation – here are the ranges of options for generating data (none of them are great)
- If we had a UI for Snowfakery like we do for Mockaroo…
- Do we want to re-run the survey with sprint participants?
A framework for what every doc should accomplish (Mockaroo, Snowfakery, Trailheads) (Michael, Rebecca, Paul)
- Data Generation
- Data Moving
We agreed to keep the survey running until the sprint and have a group working on survey results
We discussed if data moving a bigger problem than data generation? Generally docs should support both use cases -- at least until we know more from the survey. Some in this group are very concerned about generation, and want to make sure that keeps moving. We discussed out to include UI work for Snowfakery in the sprint.
- Sign up for the Sprint (everyone)
- Sam 1:1 with Sam Knox
- Spin up NPSP trial org, move data into Github repo w CC (Michael or Paul)
