Distance Display Testing Plan
Distance indicates how far does the player escape cause it is an infinite escape game. There are mainly four parts of the game that can check if the distance is working.
We fixed some small bugs left in sprint 3. Here are the steps of how to test it works now:
- When you enter the game, notice the left bottom distance value. It should be started "0".
- When you control the player goes into the tunnel and enter the new map. The distance value shouldn't have a jump. It should keep increasing.
- When player returns from the new map, the distance value should not have a reduction. It should keep increasing all the time, at any levels of the game.
The left bottom corner & right bottom corner display the distance and score. The distance feature is working or not in the game is very clear to check.
There is one line for distance value. If the value there is match the distance value when the player is dead then it is working.
This feature was updated in this sprint by team 7. In the latest version (10/4/2021) there is a small trophy next to the score and user can click it. Then a big trophy shows up and some detailed information is shown. The distance value is at the bottom of that trophy.
This feature does work successfully in the game.
