This page is for the numbers for past and current lab grants, fund numbers, and protocol numbers that you'll probably need when purchasing lab materials or getting reimbursed. While these may last for a while, the information can definitely get out of date so include date information as well as links for where to get the most up to date info.

Chartstring

The chartstring combines fund information (see below) and tends to be needed when making purchases on behalf of the lab (i.e. BearBuy) or getting reimbursed.

Fund numbers

Fund numbers have multiple parts that make them very confusing.

Department ID or Org

• HWNI: is coded as EUNEU and has a number of 26697

• Psychology: is coded as SYPSY and has a number of 13291

Chartfield In each department/unit has codes for their own bookkeeping: Chartfield 1 (CF1) and 2 (CF2). CF2 is used for our lab. CF1 is mostly used to group smaller units (e.g. URAP has a CF1 within Psychology)

• HWNI: EUFET
• Psychology: SYFT3

Fund Number Each fund has its own number

• NIDCD (expires 12/31/2024) : 61729
• BFRF 2021-22 (Berkeley Faculty Research Fund, "Makerspace"): '43193'

Program Funds can be used for different purposes which is coded under this number. We only have a research one and don't currently have one for teaching

• Research: 44

Account We don't typically use the account (used to split grant/fund) into different types of expenditures (e.g. separate salaries from equipment) but you can use 55016
