How to Pass the BUA Inspection Renewal

William Wood edited this page Mar 1, 2021 · 1 revision

This is less of an inspection and more of a yearly permit application, but they do also do an inspection.

TODO: update this page (11/2020)

All lab members (or just those interacting with BUA agents- viruses) must read the BUA and sign it. There is a hard copy in lab (LKS?) or you can read the electronic one here: link, but make sure you sign the hard copy in lab.

In addition, all lab members must be trained by the lab in the use of our biological agents. This requirement involves being given the following ppt: link. After being trained please sign the form in the back of the BUA hardcopy.

Here is the BUA inspection checklist: link

The bleach in the spill kit goes bad ~yearly, it needs to be replaced on this timeframe.
