The Mariokart project aims to convert an electric go-kart into a fully autonomous vehicle. Mechanical actuation has been implemented for the steering and brake systems, the power electronics for the motor are interfaced via a serial link and the entire system is controlled by a network of embedded devices which also provide an interface for sensors to be added later and a USB link to a portable computer.

Continuation of the project will require completing the integration of the components mentioned, installation of a sensor system and navigational software developed for the controller computer.
