Feedback

  • A google survey was conducted to receive valuable feedback on user's likes, dislikes and tips for improvement with regards to the landscape tile design. Due to the limited variety in designs, original tile designs as well as new tile designs were included in the survey. This was also to see whether areas from the original design could be adopted for the new design.
  • Unfortunately, due to new tile designs being completed towards the end of this sprint because of how time consuming each design and frames for animation were, there was not enough time to receive a significant number of responses. For this survery, there were only four responses before the submission deadline.
  • Despite the limited responses, they were still valuable information as it gave insights into what users thought of the tile designs. Below are the eight questions asked in the survey and the four responses for each question.

Results

  • Overall, from all the responses gathered, these were the key takeaways that will be considered for the tiles potential re-design in the next sprint.
    • Ocean tile: may need to reconsider the amount of waves as it seems a bit clustered together
    • Sand tile: need more detail as it is currently too plain, need to adopt original sand tile's design, but not its colour scheme
    • Grass tile: new grass tile is a crowd favourite in terms of design; however, its orientation and 3D nature is offputting; therefore, needs to adopt original grass tile's dimensions
    • Beach tile: overall a good design; however, more detail in the sand could be added to enhance the tile's appearance
    • Grass/Sand tile: the colour scheme and design was commened; however, three out of four responders commented on a smoother transition from sand to grass, so an adjustment in design could be done to improve the overall look of the tile
