Template for Validation Reports

Changes to WMDR code tables need to be approved. GitHub issues are used to develop change requests and pass through several steps as described here.

Each issue must contain a single comment with the headings Proposal and Reason.

A proposal can then be discussed in the comments section. Reviewers can also be invited by mentioning their github name. The last entry under each issue should be a "Validation Report", using the following template (copy/paste into the issue):

Issue(s) addressed, motivation for proposal

... Link(s) to issue(s) addressed

Reviews

... List the people who have provided comments, and provide a short summary of their feedback

Summary of requested amendment to code table

... Usually a link to the branch where the change has been made

The chair of TT-WIGOSMD will review the validation report and notify the WMO Secretariat by adding the tag 'validated'.
