CCPP Framework Meeting Minutes 2020 04 16

Discussion:

• Issue #282 (https://github.com/NCAR/ccpp-framework/issues/282) - will this address NRL's needs?
  • it does address chemistry's needs
  • Steve will describe the usability in the issue
  • need to keep the "properties of constituents array" separate from the "constituents array" for performance reasons
• Upcoming: removal of CCPP dynamic build from NCAR master branches
• Upcoming in July: UFS Short-Range Weather Application public release, we are working on the CCPP aspect of it (which physics will be supported); it will still use ccpp_prebuild.py but no longer have the dynamic build in it

Transition to cap_gen.py:

• project to transition GFS physics to cap_gen.py (incremental fixes)
• once this works, add cap_gen.py to UFS models
