Serial Wiring

This page describes how to create the serial wiring. To complete this section, you need:
- FTDI converter (Parts List, ID 11)
- UART cable for M100 (Parts List, ID 12)
- Short USB Mini B cable (Parts List, ID 18)
- Connect the FTDI converter (Parts List, ID 11) to the UART cable (Parts List, ID 12). Note that the TXD of the UART cable (yellow) is connected to the RX of the FTDI module, and that the RXD (red) is connected to the TX as shown below. Please double check the connection to ensure you receive messages from the N1 autopilot.
Then, conntect the FTDI module to the USB Mini B cable (Parts List, ID 18) as shown below.
- Once the cables are assembled, connect the UART cable to the port named "UART_CAN2" that is on the right side of the drone (see figure below, left). Finally, connect the USB to the front of the USB port of the NUC as shown below (right).
