9. General functions

Rodriguez has some obvious functions, and some not so obvious functions.

The functions for producing the traces have all been described elsewhere.

Here are some of the less obvious functions:

On screen measurements

Rodriguez can measure current and voltage from the display area. Point the mouse cursor at a point on the trace then read the voltage and current from the displays "Current (mA)" and "Voltage (V)." The current measurement is always in milliamperes and the voltage measurement is always in volts. The trace scales themselves change units as needed.

This example shows 338 µA and 543 mV where the cursor is pointing:

Display scaling

Rodriguez automatically scales the display to fit all the traces on the screen. You can turn the automatic scaling on and off by right clicking on the trace area then selecting the axis and manual scaling:

You can also scale the display by hovering the mouse pointer of the trace area and using the scroll wheel on the mouse.

If you move the mouse pointer over just one axis, then you can change the scale of just that axis with the scroll wheel of the mouse.

Image export

You can make a picture of the trace using the snipping tool of your operating system, but Rodriguez can export just the trace area as an image.
