BetterEnd Preset

Added a BetterEnd preset that can be switched to in biome-providers/presets/default.yml
The BetterEnd preset will mostly resemble BetterEnd with all of its specific biomes.

Dragon Island Difficulty Tweaks

  • Pitfall into the void around the dragon fountain that resides on a small floating island in the center.
  • Vex spawners under the dragon fountain that make approaching the fountain a bit more challenging.
  • Vex spawners within the top and bottom of the dragon pillars that give the end crystals a bit more protection against those who seek to destroy them.
All listed above are disabled by default in meta.yml.

Dragon Island Cosmetic Features

  • Giant obsidian chains at the corners of the dragon island to give a bit more flair. Disabled by default in meta.yml.
  • Endstone debri ring around the dragon island that can be easily have its width and height adjusted in the meta.yml.

New Biomes

End / Void

  • Crim Desolate - A overgrown wasteland with sprouting vegetation that encase a sort of luminesce substance.
  • Mauve Pools -> Rosette Pools - Beautiful isles with springs accompanied by vine-like roses.
  • Vermilion Wilds - A jungle-like region with immense trees that tower over you with their glimmering aspects.
  • Magenta Fields - An infested wildland filled with plant life that seem carnivorous.
  • Cherus Growth -> Argil Growth - Web-like terrain covered by hazel colored spikes and giant chorus-like trees
  • Void Webs - Web-like phenomenon that remains present amongst certain areas of the void
  • Cerulean Expanse - An area filled with cerulean colored mushrooms
  • Apricot Fungal Forest - A fungal forest occupied by numerous orange mushrooms
  • Pearlescent End -> Crystal Overhead - A ridged landscape of islands filled with glowing crystals
  • Ashen End - A landscape full of ash and towering rock formations

End Additions/Adjustments

  • Upgraded dragon fountain
  • Improved dragon pillars
  • Added light blocks to crying_end, shattered tree leaves, and jagged_end spikes
  • Improved asteroid_field palettes with each palette having different amounts of ice
  • Adjusted obsidian circlet to be fit better with the terrain
  • Removed verdant_overhead
  • Added sepals to crying_end bubble trees and adjusted other aspects
  • Increased end sky buffer to reduce world height gateway spawns and adjusted height range
  • Increase aurora max range height
  • Improved ivory trees to have a bit more randomness with their block makeup

End Additions

  • An End sky across the outer end that seems to twinkle like the night sky
The structures below have chests, but no loot in them till loot table implementation has been achieved.
Therefore, they have been commented out and you must enable them yourself in \biomes\abstract\end.yml if you want them without loot nonetheless
  • End ships that still soar on their lonesome across the outer end
  • Crashed end ships that seemed to have unfortunately met their fate with the ground
  • End houses that tend to be quite isolated from typical end cities
  • End towers that seemed to have served as some sort of outpost

  • Fort ruins that seem to be the remains of an Aether civilization outpost
  • A cloud river that is a dense grouping of clouds that span across Aether biomes like that of a river

  • Cherus_Growth - A region infected by an out of control bramble growth
  • Void_Aurora - An aurora that showcases the beauty that can come from the void
  • Verdant_End - Spiky landscapes that contain an abundance of glowing green crystal spikes
  • End_Webs - End terrain that seemed to have formed web-like connections across itself
  • End_Noodles - Wacky land that seems to resemble that of large noodles

Aether

  • Crismic_Landscapes - Hilly landscapes with quite a touch of crimson
  • Marble_Coasts - A variant of Aether coasts that seems as if filled with marble
  • Ancient_Aether - Barren sky-high towers in ruin of a once proud Aether civilization

  • Better ivory vines
  • Moved biomes around in pipeline

  • Remove rocks from aether_tenebrous_thicket

Tree Update

Every tree in ReimagEnd has been improved to be more unique and compelling in nature.

Dragon Island Additions

Rings of Life Pipeline

Update in Detail (Possible Spoiler for What to Expect)

Pipeline Details

The Rings of Life pipeline organizes Outer End biome generation into 5 rings total with the last ring spanning outward infinitely.

The Aether pipeline organizes Aether Pockets to generate throughout the last Outer Ring with these Aether Pockets enshrouded by Starfield and an inner layer of Cloud Sea.

The Aether pipeline further organizes these Aether Pockets into regions of different elevations from coasts, lowlands, midlands, highlands, to mountains that get populated by biomes of that elevation type.

Many Aether biomes have been removed in order to push the Aether towards a more profound identity

Several quality of life changes to palettes, structure placements, & organization

  • Pesudo Aether Sky - A mysterious cloudy atmosphere-like veil above an Aether Pocket

  • Better Chorus Trees - Improved chorus trees that closely resemble that of vanilla

New Aether Biomes

  • Insipid Coasts - Low-laying land along the inner edges of an Aether pocket that seem devoid of any color

  • Golden Fields - Fields that shine of radiance with an abundance of wheat that has permeated across these fields

  • Orchard Woodlands - High altitude woodlands that encompass groves of trees that carry fruit-like blocks within their leaves

  • Driftfalls - Fragmented lands consisting of waterfalls from the heavenly clouds above that rain down into the ponds below
