Custom fields

Description

Custom fields are meta fields that we can add to a data type that doesn't already exist. Eg. we want to add a field for video on a product.

The easiest way to manage meta fields are with the chrome plugins by freak design.

Adding a custom field

After installing the ShopifyFD Dashboard Tool extension

• Go to Settings then General
• Load the ShopifyFD extension
• Add a field by following the guide here

Adding content to a custom field

After installing the Custom Fields for Shopify extension

• Go to the data type eg. Products > Some product
• Load the Custom Fields extension
• Enter the data
