ClawsConf is a participant-driven event. We rely on participants to provide this unconference with content.

What is a session?

A session is a 45 minute block of time where just about anything can happen. Well, almost anything.

If a resource (like a pack of cards) is not provided by the venue, you are responsible for either requesting it or providing it.

Examples of sessions:

  • Talks
  • Tutorials
  • Sorcratic seminars
  • Panels
  • Yoga lessons
  • Card/board games
  • Arts & Crafts
  • Mini hackathons
  • Product demo
  • User testing
  • Networking sessions
  • Live performances
  • Wasting time on the internet

Recruiting (and begging for jobs) is allowed but please keep it to a minimum!

Examples that require express permission:

Talk to Victor about these first:

  • Cheese tasting
    • You'll need participants to disclose their allergies and sign a liability waiver.
  • Office tours
    • We will allow office tours if your have access to your office on weekends AND it's within reasonable walking distance from the venue.

What's not allowed:

  • Anything boring
  • Anything X-rated
  • Anything overly offensive
  • Cards Against Humanity
  • Wine/Beer/Bar tasting
  • Property destruction

List of Reserved Sessions

If you're interested in hosting a session, please place your name, title, a tweet-length description, and any additional resource you may need (if any.)

The number of reservable sessions will initally be capped at 8 for the time being and they are on a first-come, first-serve basis (no saving spots!)

Up to 75% of the remaining sessions will be released in the weeks leading up to the event.

The rest of the sessions (at least 25%) will be filled on the morning of the event by the attendees.
