Adding Cards ✨

Some cards may be missing, you can upload them.

Adding card is an is serious business on Untap, be very careful!

Here's how you do it:

Steps Click on the images to zoom
First of create a deck of the game you want to upload to. If that game doesn't exist here, you can upload to the Custom CCG game type.
Inside the deck builder page, click the blue button with a card icon. (second button from the left)
Before going any further read and this warning ───────────────────────────
Then it'll open this nifty interface to let you edit the card's info:
Set Identifier: This field is not editable . If you put an incorrect set identifier, you'll have to add another card with the correct set identifier. if it doesn't already exist.
Card Image Type: Here is where you set the image type to correlate with its artwork.
Url to Card Image: This is the direct URL to the card image. Be sure that the URL you're pasting ends in an image link (.jpg/.png/.gif/.bmp etc) otherwise the card image will not work.
Hosting Images If you want to upload a custom card make sure it's publicly accessible, some services like imgur require to turn it on in settings. There will be an error message if the card cannot be accessed. The images you upload will be copied in the database, you can take them offline shortly after.
Url to Alternate Face Image: Same instructions as the URL to Card Image above, however this is for the cards alternate (back) side face, if there is one.
Card Text Front: As some card descriptions are very difficult to read, this area is for writing the descriptions (word for word) so it can be presented in an easy to read format.
Card Text Back: As above, however refers to the descriptions on the back (alternate) face of the card, if there is one.

Editing Cards ✍️

Ugh, why is that card misspelt?

Why does that one have the wrong image?

OH MY GOD THERE'S A NUDE ANIME GIRL!

There are plenty of reasons you may desire the power to edit cards in the database on Untap.in, and well, you're in luck.

You have the ability to edit the cards that you upload, as we understand some people can make mistakes on their first uploads .

For the other cards, if your account is older than 3 months or you have Powered Up your account (Get Untapped) you will be able to edit the cards in the database.

We feel it was very important to set these restrictions , as only Untap veterans and those who love it enough to support it monetarily can be trusted with the nurturing and cleaning of the ever so valuable card database.

There are two ways to begin editing cards in the database. Inside the deck builder, you will see a bright blue button "Card DB" .
Alternatively, if you know the card you want to edit (or if it's already in your deck) you can hover over it, then hover over the three line menu and click edit card :
Clicking on "Edit Card" directly from the card menu will bring up that card in the Card DB interface . You can edit the title (punctuation and capitalization only), view the card image or edit other details about the card.
By Clicking on the Card DB without using a specific card, you can then view all cards in a set by first entering the Set Identifier of the set in the top right and clicking "Find Cards"
If you receive too many results and want to narrow it down, you can filter the card results either by name (left box) or card image type (right drop down box)
To edit a cards image, alternate face image, the print type (Official/Alternate/Custom etc) and other details, click "Edit Card" on the far right of the card. This will then present you with a warning which you must read carefully before continuing.
After clicking the "I Understand" button (and understanding the warning), you will then proceed to the card editing window. This window is where you need to be very careful with the changes you make and make sure that anything you change is correct. It will affect everyone's deck that this card is in - no pressure . ───────────────────────────
Set Identifier: This field is not editable as the database is far too reliant on set data. If the set is incorrect, a new card needs to be made with the correct set identifier if it doesn't already exist.
Card Image Type: Here is where you set the image type to correlate with its artwork.
Note: By selecting "Removed" or "NSFW" will remove this card from users decks . ⚠️
Url to Card Image: This is the direct URL to the card image. Be sure that the URL you're pasting ends in an image link (.jpg/.png/.gif/.bmp etc) otherwise the card image will not work and you will make a lot of people angry .

There you have the gist of Card Editing!

We highly appreciate those of you who volunteer to spend countless hours keeping the database clean and ensuring it is always up to date. We also store the usernames for all the users doing so, so we know who to thank (or who to swing the Ban hammer down on if they're editing with malicious intent).
