Course Objectives

This course is intended to familiarize students with the fundamentals of Open Source Software.

  • Understand the principles and philosophies of open source software.

  • Familiarize with the contribution process as well as develop skills to contribute to open source projects.
  • Learn project management and collaboration techniques in an open source context.
  • Experiment with several open source tools widely used in the world
