Player Aliases

Nicknames of players can be overridden client side and have additional clan tags.

When not saved in a .cfg the added player override aliases do not persist after relaunching Team Fortress 2.

ConVars

  • ce_playeraliases_add: Adds a new player alias.
  • ce_playeraliases_enabled: Enables player aliases.
  • ce_playeraliases_format_blu: Name format for BLU players.
  • ce_playeraliases_format_red: Name format for RED players.
  • ce_playeraliases_remove: Removes an existing player alias.

ConCommands

  • ce_playeraliases_format_swap: Swaps the values of ce_playeraliases_format_red and ce_playeraliases_format_blu.
  • ce_playeraliases_list: Prints all player aliases to console.

Example

Nicknames can be forced with either the player's SteamID64 or SteamID3 when ce_playeraliases_enabled is set to 1.
