Filling In Gaps
- Gun Turret station now works; fires on your enemies if they get too close. This required a non-trivial AI revamp.
- Two new ships:
- Igor's Gudgeon medium hauler and the "Pintle" up-gunned pirate version.
- Hull and Energy damage can now be separate values for weapons.
- Adds beam weapons.
- Two new asteroids and corresponding resource types
- Various map generation fixes
- You can now purchase ships for money on some spobs
- Ship descriptions now feature dynamic stat blocks that reflect ship performance
- Double-click now equips an item if possible
Progression
Adds a bit of progression; stuff to unlock. Splits faction spawns by quadrant so that there's a progression of what you'll face in each quadrant.
Adds a cheat to switch ships
Ships now specify inventory size
Adds "Starmaster" from flythroughspace
Adds "Oathbreaker" ship
Adds "Lightning" ship
Adds "scout" ship
projectiles now push ships around
projectiles can now have a fade parameter to imitate EVN Blasters

Still missing a few icons and textures, and probably some top end content, but we're getting there.
Hyperspace Relays
Adds a network of hyperspace relays to the game to act as long distance jump points. Required some nice refactors to map generation to make it work. Takes a stab at adding some content for a tech tree.
- Adds major tech tree items (lostech)
- Adds hyperspace Relays spawn
- Changes the way spobs are named and faction-assigned so that inhabited spobs get nice names.
- Folds iLisk conceptually into Autofac
- Sweet map interaction to select jumps when you land on a hyperspace relay
- Email me if you need to know what the cheat codes are. Seriously.
Biome-specific backgrounds, changes to how crafting works, quadrants
- Biomes now have different-colored backgrounds so you can tell which one you're in
- Crafting levels for building stuff in-system now check for workbenches in-system
- adds hyperspace telescope to open up long jumps from a system
- divides the universe into quadrants; spawns/biomes/etc can now be restricted to quadrants
- changes the start and boss systems from biomes to a new data type, static systems
Cheat codes
Initially I built the game with basically everything auto-available. I'd like to roll that back and make the game have an actual progression. In order to keep development viable in those circumstances, I've added a cheat code mechanism.
