TREAM

Documentation

Version 0.3.1

Main target of TREAM are external asset managers with 3 and more employees. TREAM does support the segregation of duties by offering different rules for each user. A typical setup could be two client advisors, one portfolio manager, one person for supervision and a system administrator, who can be external. In this setup the portfolio manager would define the asset allocation, the client advisors discuss this with the client and saves the client requests into TREAM and the supervision checks that the asset allocation is executed for all relevant clients. In this setup TREAM can be used to prove to the regulators that the segregation of duties has been done correctly. To avoid TREAM to be manipulated the IT administrator is needed, who is the only one who could adjust the user rights within TREAM. The IT administrator does not need to be an employee of the asset manager, because usually this is by far not a full time job. In the actual version 0.3.1 of TREAM not all planned functionality has been implemented. Missing functionality is described in this documentation with „should“ or „can“, but it is possible to add to relevant data into TREAM and use the build in audit log functionality.
