  • white-on-black colour scheme was generally felt to be too dark.
  • add an initial yes/no step to quickly filter pages that have no useful information.
  • allow people to mark up text at the category choices step.
  • wording could be changed to make the text marking task more explicit (people were confused as to what they should be looking for in the text.)
  • implement randomised subject selection, rather than working through each set in order.
  • link up each subject page to its previous and next neighbours, as per Present log book pages for annotation in date order old-weather#95 and Sequential page ordering via priority selection shakespeares_world#296 Ideally, randomly select the entry point into the collection, then grab the pages either side of that.
  • update the classification output to conform with the format produced by project builder tasks.
  • add a toggle to switch between OCR text and the original, scanned page.
  • look up subject set metadata correctly when subjects are served randomly.

Add a filtering step to the marking task

Allow the decision tree task to control which subject representation (image or text) is shown in the viewer.
Use the OCR as the alt text for the subject image.
Add a back button which resets the marking task.
