##Button block A button block is a variation on the summary block. In addition to offering a broad overview of a page's content, it also provides custom styles for a button. This is useful if you need to provide a call to action toward the top of the page— but be cautious not to overuse this block.

Example of a Button Block

##Adding a Button block In the Home Menu, click Pages, and then click into the page of which you want to add a Button Block. Click the + icon to add a component to the page and select Button Block. screenshot

##Editing Button block content You can edit the content of the component either upon creation or also by clicking the cog icon on the component tile.

  1. Add a Title in the first tab. This title will be used as the component title on the live site and also will display on the tile of the Squarespace interface in the page's overview.

  2. In the main content area, select the pin to open up more options. Scroll down and select either a regular button, or the donation button. Configure the options for the button as needed. (Parts of the donation page are configured through the donation button, ie. donation amounts.) You can choose a style for the button in the next step.

  3. Click on the Button Block tab in the editor to add a summary description. From here you can also customize the style of the button: Gold, or Teal.
