Saving to PDF

Saving your resume as a PDF is a simple way to ensure that it displays consistently across different devices.

Browsers

If you already have one of the browsers below, then you don't need to download any special software to get a PDF copy of your resume.

For the best results, it is recommended that you print out your finished product with one of the following browsers. The browsers below will maintain layout, formatting, and URLs in saved PDFs.

Using Microsoft Print to PDF (with Edge, Firefox, etc.) will preserve the look of your resume, but not any links.

Brave

  • Make sure to select Save to PDF and not Microsoft Print to PDF (if on Windows)
  • Under More Settings, set Margins to "None" and check the Background Graphics box

Google Chrome

Follow the same instructions as Brave.

wkhtmltopdf is a command line utility to convert HTML files to PDF. (I have not personally tested this method).
