Agenda & Minutes (6th January 2022)

  • By popular mandate, the website will follow a single page layout (using internal links in the href)
  • We need to look at other CICS organizations' websites (e.g. BUILD UMass, HackUMass, etc.) for inspiration and reference
  • There are currently two logos on landing, which can be modified such that the larger (home section logo) one is displayed only, but when there is scrolling such that it goes out of the viewport, then the navbar logo starts displaying
  • Consider floating elements for social media icons (on the left-hand side) as an overlay
  • Home section
    • Similar to the current Figma template with minor changes as documented above
  • About Us section
    • Create three sections as Weekly Sessions, Lab Division, and Annual Appathon
    • One button in each section for applying to the corresponding division/event
    • For background, consider using an image with ~80% opacity
  • Syllabus section
    • Consider column-based cards, one card for each week
  • Apply section
    • Add a form that handles dynamic data through some API calls
  • FAQs section
    • Defer for later, mostly related to Appathon questions
  • Team section
    • Carousel of cards, one card for each member (consider whether to have continuous or timed revolving)
    • Each card will have three portions: Image, Name, Caption
  • Discord Bot to handle applications might be an additional option
  • Get all the answers by 20th January 2022
