The marked compiler ( https://github.com/chjj/marked ) supports Github-Flavored Markdown, which adds nice features such as tables and strikethrough.

This pull request replaces multimarkdown with a marked binary created by nexe ( https://github.com/crcn/nexe ).

Since this is still open, I'll add my two cents. Please don't stop using MultiMarkdown. Maybe make compilers an option instead, if it's even necessary.

MultiMarkdown also has tables and strikethrough.

If nvAlt doesn't yet, it's because its MultiMarkdown version needs to be upgraded. It's fairly trivial to upgrade, so I've done that and that's why I don't know for sure what the latest nvAlt is doing.
