@dntfeedthemnkys: Autoconfig is meant to be a decentralized protocol. We'd much prefer that email providers hosted their config under https://autoconfig.{emaildomain}/mail/config-v1.1.xml. I'd be happy to talk you through that if you're interested (email: [email protected]).

@dntfeedthemnkys: The MX record points to themessaging-co.mail.protection.outlook.com. Are you sure the server settings will work for the email domain themessaging.co?

Thanks @cketti - brain burp here, should have had themessagingco.com.au. Regardless, following on from Salty's comments below, I'll cancel this out for now and we'll retest.

The MX records for these point to mx-10.au-east.atmailcloud.com and mx-20.au-east.atmailcloud.com. The incoming and outgoing mail server names are CNAMEs to atmailcloud.com subdomains. The Messaging Company's about us page includes this:

We are part of the Atmail group […]

I think we can be reasonably sure emails for these domains are actually handled by The Messaging Company and the incoming/outgoing server settings are legitimate.

Thanks @cketti ! Looks like our hosted xml generator works with that URL...just had to make an nginx change.
Someone had configured it to autoconfig.{emaildomain}/autoconfig/mail/config-v1.1.xml which obviously doesn't work.

@dntfeedthemnkys I think you can cancel this PR.

Issue with our nginx configuration. Closing this and retesting.
