reference tree format

just one little thing to bother you :

I believe one need to put specific things in the newick string at the root of tree : an explicit branch length of zero like this:
(...):0.0;
can the parser be modified so any regular tree (even with implicit null length at the root) is taken, or at least may you mention this in the help documents?
