Sea or Oceans will have rough water and a noticeable horizon to indicate the massive size of the waterbody. The direction of the water will be from top to bottom of a photo (or vice versa, depending on tide) which can be shown through rough waves. Seas consists of white water on the coastline due to waves crashing in and can be used a noticeable sight of a sea. The white water also has a foam texture to it due to the bubbles formed. Seas will always be rough and will have a sharp look to it from the many directions and waves hitting each other.

Another defining character of a sea is that it is always saltwater, a type of water that "covers about 71 percent of Earth’s surface" [1]. In this case, our definition of sea is more closely relatable to an ocean. Therefore, a sea is not surrounded by land but rather has a shoreline and a horizon line made by the water in the distance. There is still much to be discovered when it comes to the ocean, including its many creatures since it is such a vast body of water.
