Local Development Environment

Install Selenium Server

npm install -g webdriver-manager

Setting up a Selenium Server

Prior to starting the selenium server, download the selenium server jar and driver binaries. By default it will download the selenium server jar and chromedriver binary.

webdriver-manager update

Starting the Selenium Server

By default, the selenium server will run on http://localhost:4444/wd/hub.

webdriver-manager start

Install Node-RED and nodes

npm install -g --unsafe-perm node-red

cd ~/.node-red && npm install node-red-contrib-selenium-webdriver

Automated UI Test /w Docker Environment

1. Install Docker Tool Box from https://www.docker.com/products/docker-toolbox

2. Create docker-compose.xml to your local folder

   version: '2'

     node-red:
       image: cuongquay/node-red-ui-automation
       ports:
        - 1880:1880
     selenium-hub:
       image: selenium/hub
       ports:
        - 4444:4444
     node-chrome:
       image: selenium/node-chrome
       depends_on:
        - selenium-hub

        - HUB_PORT_4444_TCP_ADDR=selenium-hub
   

3. Run with **docker-compose up** command

eval "$(docker-machine env default)" docker-compose up -d --force-recreate

4. Launch Kitematic, choose **node-red-ui-automation** container and look for the Access URL from HOME tab. 

5. Browsing the application by http://ACCESS_URL:1880/ (usually it's http://192.168.99.100:1880/)
