As Discovery Service handles lots of connections with relatively low traffic on each connection, lower the buffer size and re-use the read/write buffers.

Not a totally scientific test, but I used the follow easy way to see memory allocations:

go test -run TestClient -memprofile mem.prof ./pkg/server

This also has client memory allocs, so might be a bit confusing.

Tried to ignore as much client stuff as I can using web pprof ignore mechanism from alloc space sample.
