Conference Introduction Mail
Here is a possible introductory mail for PyCon India. We will update this as and more information becomes available.
Hi {Name},
This is {Your-Name} from the PyCon India 2019, organizing team. {Add-More-Context-Here}
PyCon India is India's premier conference on using and developing the Python programming language. This year, the conference is happening in Chennai, on October 12 - 15, 2019. About 1200 Pythonistas from all over India are expected to participate in the event. The event will consist of 4 keynotes, 36+ talks, 6+ workshops, a poster session, lightning talks, and more.
The tickets for the conference is sold out (1200 tickets sold out in a month), but we have tickets reserved for speakers. Tickets for workshops and Devsprints will open shortly.
The CFP for talks and works is also closed now. But call for poster proposals is still open, and it is a great way to participate in the event.
Posters are graphical summary of projects or ideas. They are usually presented with an A0 size poster, but any creative ways are always welcome. The poster session provides an opportunity to network with the conference attendees and acts as a starting point for further discussions. While talks generally needs to appeal to a wide section of the community, posters can cover niche topics.
PyCon India 2019 will be having a poster presentation session at post lunch, day 1. During the poster presentation session you will be provided with a poster board that can hold an A0 size poster, and a table to place your laptop, for demos. Conference attendees interested in your topic, will stop by, during which you can give them a brief presentation / demo.
