For each student in the class (plus a few extra for buffer):
- Arduino Uno
- USB-B cable
- Mini-breadboard
- 10 2-5" jumper wires (a range of lengths is good)
- 3 alligator clip wires
- 1 potentiometer
- 2 breadboard compatible push buttons
- 3 green LEDs
- 3 red LEDs
- 1 RGB LED
- 1 photocell
- 9 220 ohm resistors (1 for each LED)
- 2 10k ohm resistor (for the force sensor and photocell)
- 1 small DC Motor
- 1 transistor
- 1 diode
- 1 2" x 2" square of conductive foam)
As a shared class resource:
As of April 2013, the total total cost for each student is around $50. Ideally, each student is able to take home their Arduino and all of the components they learned about.
