Failing to release miniforge after download on Windows #1

@jacopoabramo, you have mentioned that you had errors while installing ImSwitch. Could tell me which version you have used and where you downloaded it? I cannot reproduce your screenshot on a fresh windows installation.

However, I would like to have a better user display by e.g. adding a loading bar or something like that.

It's still in the downloading mode, but it seems to be working:

You need to use the artifacts, not the release.

I downloaded the artifacts as you suggested - the ones from the latest build. This is the output:

This is also a Windows 11 machine, not sure if it makes any difference.

After deleting the old ImSwitch folder generated by the installer and running it again, the installer was now successful. Not sure what caused the first error, but issue can be closed for now

So we should have this as a "backup" plan - like "reset installation"?
Or rather detect this error and start from scratch?

Probably best to identify the issue and fix it. A normal installation user experience is "I install something, I expect it works"; making a "reset installation" thingy doesn't make too much sense.
