After weeks of development here it is, a utility that allows you to substitute an existing file distribution folder on a server with a subfolder in your Dropbox while keeping old links alive.

The use case I was faced to was like this. On my hosting a have a file folder with large files which take hundreds of megabytes of my expensive hard drive place. I'd like to move it to a subfolder within my Dropbox folder in the way all hard links to the files I posted all over my blog keep working.

If you are faced to a similar situation, you can do the following. Install this app according to instructions in README. Then run console utility to upload the whole folder content to your Dropbox. Rename the hosted folder and create the web front controller folder on its place. If everything went smooth, when anyone tries to download a file using an old link, smoe magic occurs and their browser is redirected to Dropbox address and goes on downloading file as if it were still kept on your server.
