The GDELT event data is used for analysis using MapReduce hosted at amazon. The program explores some aspect of GDELT data. The program will be able to find out the number of protest that have been reported or published in newspaper and digital from 1979-2016. The Sample output is also in the folder. The data use ISO ALPHA-2 standard for country names that's Pakistan is regarded as "PK".
