Gazer is a command line utility that can be used for many tasks concerning managing a Looker Server. In particular, Gazer has been built with a focus on managing and migrating User Defined Content - saved Looks and Dashboards - between Looker instances.
Gazer was built to use the Looker API. Most of the capabilities of Gazer utilize version 3.0 of the API. A few capabilities, particularly the ability to import a dashboard, require the use of version 3.1 of the API. The 3.1 version is available in Looker 5.14 and later. It is still in beta.
Gazer is NOT an official supported product of Looker. Support for Gazer is not included and there are no guarantees that Gazer will work for you. Gazer was built by Mike DeAngelo, an architect in Looker's Customer Success organization, and released as open source in the hope that it will be generally useful to Looker customers. Bugs and feature requests can be logged at Issues. This is an open source product and it is hoped that a community will form that will also contribute Pull Requests with bug fixes and enhancements.
