We rely on a registry file which has a hash for every files in the auxiliary data repository. This file is around 2mb and must be downloaded every time lephare is imported. Can we make a file which only contains the hash of the registry file itself so that we can cache the registry file and only download it if it has been updated?

This might change with future versioning decisions, but could do a first iteration with a text file of the hash
