+#### Alpha 2
+
+The location kindly provided by the Kulturetage was just right for us
+just right for us - thanks to the support of our press work by the
+and the press office, many new faces found their way to us last week

+After an internal test in July, our second and first public alpha took place from 20 to 22.09.2011.

+and Jeenodes, measuring devices and gadgets through to their current projects.

+***Good news*** The Kulturetage has offered us the use of a room on the first floor of the quARTier at a reasonable
+price!

+#### Alpha 2
+Die freundlicherweise von der Kulturetage zur Verfügung gestellte Location war
+genau richtig für uns - Dank Unterstützung unserer Pressearbeit durch die
+Wirtschaftsförderung und das Presseamt fanden letzte Woche richtig viele neue
+Gesichter den Weg zu uns und machten unsere zweite bzw. erste öffentliche Alpha
+zu einem vollen Erfolg!

+Nach einem internen Test im Juli fand vom 20. bis 22.09.2011 unsere zweite bzw.
+die erste öffentliche Alpha im quARTier (Bahnhofsviertel) statt. Von Arduinos
+und Jeenodes über Messgeräte und Gadgets bis zu ihren aktuellen Projekten haben
+die Mitglieder und Interessenten alles Mögliche an Elektronik und Know-How
+mitgebracht. Am Mittwoch konnte sogar ein 3D-Drucker bei der Arbeit bestaunt
+werden.
+
+An allen drei Tagen waren um 17 Uhr schon die ersten da und vor Mitternacht
+sind die letzten nie gegangen. Bis zu 35 Personen waren gleichzeitig da und
+zwischen Beginn und Ende „durchgelaufen“ sind täglich bestimmt 50 oder 60
+Menschen; davon hatten mehr als die Hälfte vorher keinen Kontakt zu uns – die
+erste öffentliche Alpha war damit ein voller Erfolg!

+Am Donnerstag gab es entsprechen der Interessenlage noch vier
+Vorträge/Workshops: Eine Arduino-Einführung, die Vorstellung von CouchDB, Zehn
+Irrtümer über das Urheberrecht und einen Twitter-Einstieg. Informationen und Folien
+dazu gibt es im Wiki ...
+
+Wer dieses Mal nicht teilnehmen konnte, hat im Oktober und November noch eine
+Chance, denn zwei weitere Alphas sind geplant. Interessenten abonnieren am
+besten den Newsletter und verpassen so keinen Termin!
+
+***Good News!*** Die Kulturetage hat uns die kostengünstige Nutzung eines Raumes im
+OG des quARTiers angeboten! Das Gebäude sollte eigentlich schon im August
+abgerissen werden, bleibt jetzt aber wahrscheinlich noch bis zum Frühjahr 2012
+oder länger erhalten. Wir haben noch keinen genauen Einzugs-Termin und keine
+Details besprochen, aber es sieht ganz danach aus, als hätten wir eine erste
+Heimat für mehr als drei Tage gefunden – besser als im Bahnhofsviertel hätten
+wir es kaum treffen können!
+
+#### Presse, Bilder und Videos
+
+Am Mittwoch fand vor dem Beginn der eigentlichen Alpha mit Unterstützung der
+Wirtschaftsförderung Oldenburg eine Pressekonferenz im quARTier statt, die

+zur Folge hatte. Alle weiteren Berichte über uns und unsere Projekte finden

+#### Alpha 3
+
+Pinte42 was exactly the right place for our third Alpha. The presentations
+could be held in a separate room in peace and quiet and the proximity to the
+students brought in one or two random guests ;)
+

+The main attraction was once again the 3D printer we had been loaned.

+On day three, we were even able to get it to print club logos out of plastic
+(ABS) to print club logos.

+The presentations on "Legal pitfalls in social media" and
+"Bit-Twiddling" were well attended. The same applies to the workshops on offer on getting started with Arduino, for
+example. On the evening of the third day, the great rush of visitors had even triggered the Matecalypse - the entire 70
+liters
+were drunk ;)

+Nevertheless, we worked on all kinds of projects until late on Sunday and taught interested parties how to solder. The
+club has gained five new members and
+many new friends. The Alpha was a complete success!

+#### Alpha 3
+Die Pinte42 war genau der richtige Ort für unsere dritte Alpha. Die Vorträge
+konnten in Ruhe in einem separaten Raum gehalten werden und die Nähe zu den
+Studenten hat noch den einen oder anderen Zufallsgast gebracht ;)

+Hauptanziehungspunkt war erneut der uns leihweise zur Verfügung gestellte
+3D-Drucker.
+An Tag drei konnte er sogar dazu gebracht werden, Vereinslogos aus Kunststoff
+(ABS) zu drucken.

+Auch die Vorträge über „rechtliche Fallstricke bei Social Media“ oder
+„Bit-Twiddling“ waren gut besucht. Gleiches gilt für die angebotenen Workshops
+– beispielsweise zum Arduino-Einstieg. Am Abend des dritten Tages hatte der
+große Besucheransturm gar die Matecalypse ausgelöst – die gesamten 70 Liter
+waren ausgetrunken ;)

+Trotzdem wurde bis Sonntag spät an allen möglichen Projekten getüftelt und
+Interessenten das Löten beigebracht. Der Verein hat fünf neue Mitglieder und
+viele neue Freunde gewonnen. Die Alpha war ein voller Erfolg!

+#### 30C3
+This year, a whole delegation from the Oldenburg Hackspace officially attended 30C3. We had our usual exhibits (3D printer, LED cube) and put up a banner in the Hackcenter.
+
+Apart from that, we just enjoyed the time together with the other hackers, visited the ball pool and listened to the talks.
+
+Summary: We will be back in Hamburg in 2014, probably with an even larger delegation.

+Dieses Jahr ist eine ganze Delegation des Oldenburger Hackspaces offiziell beim 30C3 gewesen. Dort haben wir im Hackcenter unsere üblichen Ausstellungsstücke dabei gehabt (3D-Drucker, LED-Cube) und ein Banner aufgestellt.
+
+Ansonsten haben wir einfach die Zeit zusammen mit den anderen Hackern genossen, das Bällebad besucht und uns die Vorträge angehört.
+
+Resume: 2014 werden wir wieder, dann vermutlich mit einer noch größeren Delegation in Hamburg ankommen.

+As already announced after 30C3, we were once again at this year's
+Chaos Communication Congress - this time with over twenty people. In
+last year, we were not in the Hackcenter this year, but in the Quiet Area
+in the Quiet Area (and thus somewhat more secluded). But there was
+enough space for banners, a JoSeb (3D printer), a fat
+LED ticker, our mainframe sign and a few small items.
+
+Apart from that, we simply enjoyed our time together with the other hackers,
+visited the ball pool, listened to the talks and looked at the installations of other
+spaces.
+

+Wie nach dem 30C3 schon angekündigt waren wir auch dieses Jahr wieder auf dem
+Chaos Communication Congress - diesesmal mit über zwanzig Personen. Im
+Gegensatz zum letzten Jahr waren wir dieses Jahr nicht im Hackcenter, sondern
+in der Quiet-Area (und damit etwas abgeschiedener) untergebracht. Dafür gab es
+ausreichend Platz für Banner, einen JoSeb (3D-Drucker), eine fette
+LED-Laufschrift, unser Mainframe Schild und einiges an Kleinkram.
+
+Ansonsten haben wir einfach die Zeit zusammen mit den anderen Hackern genossen,
+das Bällebad besucht, uns die Vorträge angehört und die Installationen anderer
