NYC 311 incident call data analysis

In this project, I analyzed the year 2014 NYC 311 incident call data that's available on NYC Open data platform. 311 is a special telephone number supported in many communities in Canada and the United States. The number provides access to non-emergency municipal services. 311 creates a central hub for constituents to be able to access a variety of city services. The number 311 is intended in part to divert routine inquiries and non-urgent community concerns from the 911 number which is reserved for emergency service.

Using the data, I did some exploratory visualization and analysis to gain insights into the type of complaints and number of complaints reported through 311 and how it varies through the year.
