Brillian idea as I found Google Docs as an optimal editing medium for the same reasons you mentioned.
The missing link was generating a static blog from google-docs, preferably with two stages preview/beta and production.
Now to tak edexopress to the next level of usability we need to make it work as a container, so we can start it easily and upgrade it as well.
