Building Powder Player

Windows

Requirements

• Visual Studio Community 2013

• CMake

• NW.js v0.12.2 - Win 32bit

• VLC 2.2.1 - Win 32bit (includes AVI file fix)

Instructions

• git clone --recursive https://github.com/jaruba/PowderPlayer.git

• cd PowderPlayer

• npm install

• Unpack NW.js v0.12.2 in the same folder

• Unpack VLC 2.2.1 (the entire contents of the archive, including vlc.exe) in node_modules/pw-wcjs-player/node_modules/wcjs-renderer/node_modules/webchimera.js/build/Release/ (where WebChimera.js.node is)

• Run nw.exe

Requirements

• Apple XCode

• CMake

• NW.js v0.12.2 - OSX 64bit

• VLC 2.2.1 - OSX 64bit (includes AVI file fix)

• cd PowderPlayer

• npm install

• Unpack NW.js v0.12.2 in the same folder

• Unpack VLC 2.2.1 in node_modules/pw-wcjs-player/node_modules/wcjs-renderer/node_modules/WebChimera.js/build/Release/ (where WebChimera.js.node is)

• Run nwjs

• for apt based distros: $ sudo apt-get install build-essential cmake libvlc-dev

• VLC v2.2.1 - Linux 32bit

• npm install

• Run nwjs
