The components are designed to be both full width, and content width. Full-width means, from browser left edge to browser right edge. Content width means, a centered column with an arbitrary width. This means your theme's post content has to be able to run full-width, and content width. The best way to do this, is to apply your sites width to the paragraph item only.

Each component has a width attribute. If 'content' is passed as a variable, then 'aesop-content' class is applied to the component. It's recommended to set the content width using that class as well.
