Added outer loop iterating over all AD hosts when creating a connection to validate a user

@kenrowland is this targeting the correct branch? I would expect 9.6.x, or possibly 9.8.x

@ghalliday This issue has existed for a while. I can retarget if desired, but which release is preferred?
