The Revolt of Replicas – Instructions

Installation

Server app

1. Clone the repo to your computer by typing in the terminal $ git clone https://github.com/guillemontecinos/revolt-of-replicas.git
2. Go to the directory where the repo was downloaded
3. Go to /app by typing $ cd app
4. Install npm packages on /app by typing $ npm install

Unity app

1. Download the unity built (sent privately)
2. Keep the app with the folder it came

Sound

1. Install Ableton Live 10
2. Install Max/Msp 8 or greater
3. Download the Ableton session and keep it on its the same folder

Note

• It doesn't matter if the three folders are separated, just keep each app on its folder because there are dependencies inside.

Running the Installation

1. Open the Ableton session. You'll see three automated sliders moving by them selves. It's ok.
2. On your terminal go to /app and run the server by typing $ node index.js
3. Run the unity app (called casa-amalia-build.app)
4. Check your comuper's IP by clicking on Networks (on the upper right end of the screen) -> Open Network Preferences. Under Connected you'll see the IP address.

5. Open your iPhone preferences, go to Settings -> Display & Brightness -> Auto-Lock and select Never.
6. Connect your iPhone to the same network of the laptop.
7. Open Safari and type the IP address.
8. After the experience's main page is loaded, click on the font size icon (as shown below) and click Hide Toolbar.

9. Go to Ableton and hit play (or the spacebar)
