Simple example with Play Framework using jqueryfiletree plugin http://abeautifulsite.net/blog/2008/03/jquery-file-tree/

Using Play 1.2.3:

git clone git://github.com/giates/play-jqueryfiletree.git
cd play-jqueryfiletree
play run

Point the browser on http://localhost:9000

You should be able to navigate through public folders & files

To change the base folder open app/controllers/Application.java and modify BASE_DIR on action 'content'.
