Strategy to authenticate with Notejoy via OAuth2 in OmniAuth.
For more details, read the Notejoy docs: https://notejoy.com/help/api
Add to your Gemfile
:
gem 'omniauth-notejoy-oauth2'
Then bundle install
.
Here's an example for adding the middleware to a Rails app in
config/initializers/omniauth.rb
:
Rails.application.config.middleware.use OmniAuth::Builder do
provider :notejoy_oauth2, ENV['NOTEJOY_CLIENT_ID'], ENV['NOTEJOY_CLIENT_SECRET'],
scope: "read_all"
end
You can now access the OmniAuth Notejoy OAuth2 URL: /auth/notejoy_oauth2
NOTE: While developing your application, if you change the scope in the initializer you will need to restart your app server.
Here's an example of an authentication hash available in the callback by
accessing request.env['omniauth.auth']
:
{
"provider" => "notejoy_oauth2",
"uid" => "",
"info" => {
"name" => "",
"email" => "",
},
"credentials" => {
"token" => "TOKEN",
"expires_at" => 1496120719,
"expires" => false
},
"extra" => {
"raw_info" => {
}
}
}
